Let me start by saying that I'm a guy. I bought this primarily as a back scrubber and didn't think I would use it for anything else. I have a very dirty job and I have dust and sand under my clothes so they rub against my skin all day. As a result, I had acne problems on my body. But not anymore. It certainly does a great job for what I bought it for, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it works great for removing the really heavy grime I get on my exposed skin while working. During the day I get dirt, grease, oil, grime and other less pleasant things and it tends to mix and turn into a kind of glue that never fully separates. But that's a thing of the past. It even gets rid of the calluses on my hands that I had to file down to get rid of the dirt. I've never had an acne problem again and I've never felt so clean after a shower. For everyone, combine this with a simple bar of old-fashioned lye-based soap and you'll be sparkling clean in no time. Note. I've had this since March 2014 and will probably get another one within the next year simply because I put blatant mud abuse on it, which is sure more than it was intended, and just started to leave a slight mop smell.
