THESE TOOLS ARE NOT TOYS, but...

These tools are not toys, but should be treated as toys if they are to last. Value for money, the set is well thought out and works well. This should be considered light studio equipment (indoor). Per Gear? Results vary by user.¿Heavy Duty? Not even close, take care of everything. If you need high performance gear, buy high performance gear. ¿outdoor use? Only in very manual conditions and with someone stabilizing each stand or with sandbags (or similar) on the base. Improper use. (+++) → 105W lamps. Something less bright will disappoint you, and you will have to buy lamps of this power separately. Disagree with another reviewer: lamps can be used permanently. They are made for this → → Always hold the lamp by the base, not the glass. ← ←(+) → Racks. The metal and links seem solid enough and the overall feel isn't flimsy, but I'm very careful with the plastic quick-release levers - I open and close them slowly and carefully with just enough movement and pressure to lock them in place. Be careful with plastic levers. Two (very) high stances and a short one make sense. (+) → Adjustable heads operate at their maximum capacity. Don't try to use big umbrellas. Be careful when tightening the large thumbscrew and make sure it doesn't slip off before riding. (+++) → umbrellas. Two of each color: white (reflective or translucent), silver, and gold. Treat them with care and they will last a long time. (++) → carrying case. Suitable for storage and careful travel. Save all component boxes and the outer shipping carton for maximum packaging/storage security.
