Read and see several reviews of these speakers. They sound just as good without a subwoofer as my Edifier R2000DB, but the Edifier doesn't have a SW port so I wanted to upgrade them. IMHO they screwed up when they decided not to add a remote control to them. Instead of a remote, you have to use an app called DTS Ply-Fi. After an hour on the phone with SVS and two hours on the app webpage, I still can't connect. Every hour I spend troubleshooting this only adds to the cost of this purchase. After looking at the reviews I thought it would be more intuitive, I just don't have time to troubleshoot what should be easy. I solve problems to earn a living. I DON'T WANT TO DO WHAT I HAVE LITTLE FREE TIME. I gave them two stars because they sound good but without the remote they are useless to me.
