This is a pretty good printer for the price, although I'm not sure I'd recommend it to a 3D printer newbie. I initially had some shipping issues (not the fault of the Amazons but the Seattle riots) and it arrived with a faulty motherboard. Sovol was very helpful in replacing the circuit board, although it took longer due to the time difference. They're based in China, so their hours are when America sleeps. That being said, I don't blame Sovol or Revain for any of the problems. Pros: Build volume is pretty good for the price. Direct drive seems obvious to me, the Bowden tube idea sounds silly and probably not reliable. It's advertised as being able to work up to ABS but I've never tried it. String sensor included. There are some useful extras: laser engraving and BL touch sensor. There is a Facebook group that provides quick help if problems arise. Cons: The servos are noisy, as is the fan. There is an advertising fee that should make servos quieter. I've had some minor adhesion issues, but I don't know if it's because I'm not very good at 3D printing or if it's a real issue. PLA has held up well, but my adventure with PETG has not been pleasant. The print bed is aluminum with a glass plate on top, so replacing the glass with a flexible magnetic plate requires a lot more than just buying one and attaching it.
