Good brightness. Ideal for going to bed in the dark in the middle of the night. I gave each family member a pair of different colors. While that doesn't help me find it when I need it, it does make it a lot easier to find out who stole mine. I like that the LED lens holder is spring loaded. If you press it in the dark, it's enough not to break and you'll find that the power button is at the other end. Batteries were included - be sure to unscrew the on/off switch at the end of the flashlight and remove the thin plastic washer that was preventing the battery from making contact. Finally, I think they will be relatively durable. At fifty bucks a piece, I don't expect an indestructible flashlight.
