Review on 📡 HYS Dual Band SMA-Male Antenna: Telescopic VHF/UHF 144/430MHz for Yaesu Vertex TYT Walkie Talkies (33.5-inch) by Jim Linquist

The telescopic antenna allows you to adjust the length to get the best SWR match. Almost fully extended I get the best match at 2 meters on a 1:1 scale. This thing flies. I have a clock radio whose speaker hums in the radio when I'm in the same room and turn on the radio (BaoFeng UV-5R though). No standard antenna has ever done that. The 70cm range requires extra effort for the SWR to work well at a 2:1 ratio. It works on 70cm but I haven't found a middle ground that would allow me to get the right tuning without first setting up an antenna analyzer to determine the ideal SWR. The little antenna that came with it? I think it's nada. at least 5:1 swr on both bands, this is obviously not configurable as she can't resize without physically cropping it. Overall this is a great antenna if you live on the edge of 2m repeater coverage. This antenna would be great for spotting storms where I currently live.
