Review on πŸ’Ύ High-performance KingSpec 2242 NGFF 512GB M.2 SSD for Ultrabooks - SATA III 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive (512GB) by Steve Poe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding quality, performance and price! The best beat on the dollar.

I needed a fairly large capacity NGFF drive for a limited upgrade Dell 3050 mini pc. There aren't many SATA 2242 NGFF M.2 SSD SATA drives to choose from, and even fewer at 512GB. It was half the price of others I've found and the performance is excellent at the price. I'm not sure the small Intel Celeron processor in the Dell 3050 Mini PC will run much faster. I would highly recommend these and will definitely be buying another if they are still available if needed. Update April 2019: I bought another one of these KingSpec 2242 NGFF 512GB M.2 SATA SSDs as the first one works so well and the performance is on par with other big brands I've bought for a lot more money. I have two of these 512GB M.2 2242 SSDs in an external M.2 SATA Raid enclosure and am amazed at the performance. KingSpec definitely won me over with their SSD products. If you are looking for a NGFF M.2 SATA drive to upgrade or replace an old SSD that has stopped working, you must try KingSpec. I'm glad I found this product and expect to buy more in the near future. I have to say that 2 of these SSDs in an internal enclosure with 2 M.2 SATA drives running RAID 0 on an old Gen3 i5 laptop made me want to buy a new laptop by a couple years to postpone. This is a laptop for work in Win10, Office365, Internet, non-gaming. It fits my 8th Gen Intel NUC i5 Mini PC which I really can't tell the difference! These are high quality SSDs with excellent performance. The first 512GB KingSpec 2242 NGFF SSDs I bought still have a lot of life and are installed in a Dell E6430 laptop that runs 24/7. I've been in IT for over 25 years and have tried a lot of hardware in my life. I highly recommend these KingSpec SSDs. None of them have had any issues so far while I've had SanDisk, Samsung and G.Skill SSDs wearing out or chipping due to overheating. I couldn't be happier if KingSpec didn't want to sell them cheaper! πŸ˜‰
