I bought this bag for a reason. My Cannondale e-bike came with an aluminum open-front carrier and I needed something that could be folded up and used to carry stuff - wallet, phone, jacket, water, bottle, sports gear and other small items. A tool bag with an opening cover is best suited for this. I bought a Husky bag from Home Depot which was fine but was 12 inches wide and the frame was about 14 inches wide. That way the pouch didn't fill the space and bounced off when you hit a bump unless you tied it with an elastic cord. So I searched for one that fills the space better. This one is 14 inches wide. It holds significantly more than a 12" bag and is firmly wedged into the rack to keep it from bouncing around. This bag is more than strong enough to hold everything I put in it. The zipper opens and closes quickly; The wide top opening makes everything easily accessible. I can't tell how it will perform as a professional tool bag, but it easily holds my cordless drill, drill box and charger.
