8K and VRR is the future of home video between new consoles and PC games. This 960H product supports 8K and VRR, but it seems like that's the bare minimum of support at best. Nowadays, with devices like the LG CX OLED supporting almost all resolutions and more and more people using PCs like consoles, one would think that engineers would understand how this product can be used and customize it for the consumer. Even in pass-through mode, this device doesn't support the permissions that both devices support with an intermediate value, and you can't even enforce those permissions. Notably, this device only supports 120Hz in some resolutions, of course it supports it in 4k and 1080p, but everything in between and below only supports 60Hz at best. Since the XBOX is outputting as a PC resolution, it doesn't even recognize 1440p as an option, just over the PC as a 4kx2k signal and only at 60Hz. Attempting to produce 120Hz at this resolution will produce video errors and will not output. I was hoping that it would be a very good switch for all my devices and new consoles, but unfortunately I had to return it. The nice thing is that in my testing I found a $40 rooful switch that I bought years ago that not only allowed pass-through, but included VRR, 1440p and 120Hz up to 4K when used direct connected to my CX compared to my current Onkyo receiver. So a $39.99 device rated at 4K at 60Hz solved the problem better than a $649.99 device designed to do what I need up to 8K. Also, this unit doesn't have any biamping abilities, despite having Dolby height and options, which seems like a huge omission.
