The MILIN humidifier was almost ready to use when I took it out of the box. The insides of the water tank were sealed with tape to prevent damage during shipping and once I received this entire set it was ready to use. I've been using this humidifier for a few days now and am very happy with it. I have another humidifier that uses a wicking element and fan and although the water tank in this humidifier is larger, after a while the water becomes uncomfortable and mold starts to grow on the wick which is really awful. The MILIN device has an in-tank sterilizer that uses electrolysis to kill any microbes that may be present in the tank. I also like that the cool mist is directed upwards rather than at an angle, which helps the tiny droplets evaporate rather than falling to the floor as a liquid and leaving a wet stain that we all notice with other humidifiers to have. Also, this unit has an essential oil compartment which I haven't used yet as I'm sensitive to strong smells but if you want to add some menthol for those busy days it might help. If I could improve one thing about this device it would be the tank size. My house is very dry so this tank needs to be refilled quite often. Apart from that, this device has many good features like auto shutdown etc.
