Review on Kizen IP100 Digital Meat Thermometer - Instant Read Waterproof Food Thermometer with Built-In Bottle Opener for Kitchen, Outdoor Cooking & Grilling - Black by Rick Turner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely not waterproof, according to the replacement seller's instructions (note the plural of replacement)

Supplier response may be quick but not as advertised. While replacing my 2x they told me I would not get another replacement. The second one I received quickly became cloudy and unreadable. I also found water in the battery compartment. Although they were advertised as waterproof, their instructions told me not to put them in the dishwasher and not to be submerged in water (never held under a faucet). So, according to their own instructions, they say it's not waterproof. I've had the third one for about 3 months now and although I was very careful to only hold the sensor under running water, I have to assume that the fog that forms on the display comes from my wet hands when I wash the sensor. Probe. I think I have about 3 months before I ask for my money back. Below is my first review. Worked first time out of the box. I thought it was SOL because it took 20 times to turn it on the second time around and I thought I threw away the whole package. After seeing others being offered replacements based on similar reviews, I wrote a bad review. Then I found the packaging and voila, there was a QR icon for contacting the manufacturer, which of course I did. The manufacturer emailed me with some simple instructions on how to replace it without returning it. I received a new thermometer within 3 days. That works great. Instant readings and all the bells and whistles work great. After I received a new one, the manufacturer responded to a bad review by asking me to get in touch. Great support with a good product.
