OK, it is just a round piece of wood (a perfect one). Nice tight grain, easy to clean with a damp cloth. It is so simple to pull this out, use it, wipe it off and put it away. This is a good product! I ordered the smaller one to save room. Previously I had a very large rolling pin with handles. It was very overkill and always in my way! This one is all you need, easy to clean, easy to store and has some weight to it.

Decent size for rolling out flour tortillas only reason why I ordered it because i have no clue how to roll out pasta which is what it was advertised for. I was however expecting a darker color but the one i got was very light. still a good roller.

The pin itself is solid and is one hell of a work horse, however it needed some mineral oil before i could roll out my first pizza. Mine was quite thirsty at about 1/4 cup. So it looses a star for that, not for the shipping nightmare but that's a different story and not going to fault a piece of wood for it.

I bought 1 before and worn it out, somehow this is kinda different because it no longer hot the engraving on the pin. It's also thinner than the older one. But no splinters or defects so I'm good with it

This was a replacement rolling pin for the first one I ordered which was warped. This replacement works very well and is easy to use with pastry of all kinds.

I have two other rolling pins and just started using this one. For me, it is just the right size--unless you are doing some kind of baking I know nothing about. Not too heavy; not too light. Easy to clean. I use a little wood on it occasionally.

A lot smaller than expected. Not easy to use with tortillas unless making small ones. Would be good for cookie dough. Works fine. Maybe a little shorter than I would like since it doesn''t have handles, but pretty happy!!

Very happy with this medium rolling pin. The pastry I have rolled with it has all come out in a way I'm happy with. The roller itsf is sturdy and with basic care it should last for years. Recommended.

LOVE IT! Solid, great rolling pin. No dents! The dough comes out gorgeous and smooth. Getting the big one! Make sure to oil it like you would with any wood item. Always use food grade oil. I feel like this will last forever!

I do not use the rolling pin for baking but use it to roll out clay. The only down side is that it is not quite heavy enough to even out the clay and I have to out too much pressure on it. However, I think it would be great for baking

My rolling pin came with a couple of imperfections, which may harbor bacteria and made it not as easy to clean. Other than that, it looks like a nice product.

This little rolling pin works so well for rolling dumplings and tortillas. It is shorter but thick. Perfect weight for getting the right amount of pressure. I love it so much! I highly recommend this product.
