This is a roomy and beautiful basket and the colors are perfect for my kids room with navy blue walls and blue and ivory accents. It certainly doesn't *need* to be used as a nappy rest, but we use it for that purpose and it works great. I bought this because I needed something long and thin that would fit on a very narrow shelf on the side of our dressing table. It was surprisingly difficult to find something of such dimensions! We mostly use cloth diapers and keep them in the top drawer of our dresser, so we use this basket for a couple of disposable diapers, a disposable tissue holder and our folded tissues.
