Good fit for security.

The product meets our requirements up to T. Very durable. Pretty easy to assemble. We have a bunk bed and are using it on the bottom bunk bed for our 2.5 year old. We cannot fold down the side due to the style of the bed (we don't have box springs under the mattress). We put some washcloths under the lowering mechanism to keep it from damaging the wooden rails.

Not good. for safety

Advantages:1. American production 2. Easy to click together3. Good quality Cons: 1. Our bed rail arrived bent2. Fixing the rails under the bed was awkward3. Didn't work on our bed. Our mattress sits several inches in a recessed bed frame that surrounds the entire mattress. The assembly of these rails was not compatible with our bed. Overall I think this would be a great option for most beds but it didn't work for us. I hope that was helpful.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons

Easy installation fits rails and rail guards

But the mesh cover came in two different sizes, one was so tight that it broke on the frame after about two minutes before assembly was complete. The bottom rails (which run under the bed) are thick enough to raise the mattress. Hope it doesn't break it. I wouldn't buy it again although I'm sure they are all very similar. something to replace this first as my little one can't be without something!

Pros
  • Great price

Terrible Best to buy from Rails & Rail Guards

I bought this to place a large queen bed high off the ground for our 5 year old grandson. Assembling was difficult. It was very difficult to put it under the mattress. And once we had that in place, it wasn't enough to create the necessary barriers. The mattress is very thick, the sides are not very high. Worst of all, it doesn't fold and is very difficult to remove. My husband, who can put everything together, had to disassemble it to put it away.

I hope your child is not the princess on the pea!

1 1/2" thick crossbars run under the mattress. I was stunned when I saw the design. Little kids only! I think you need to do your own cost benefit analysis. It needs a couldn't think of a better way! At least the grandchildren didn't fall out of bed. It takes two people to install. It's very inconvenient to put the bars under the mattress and adjust them properly. Almost as bad as wallpapering. Never do that again!

High quality long protective barriers that are easy to remove.

So cute! My son is out of the hospital and I wanted something on either side of his bed to keep him from rolling out of bed. It's really good because it's long enough to make sure it doesn't roll out, but they also hide under the mattress so they don't get in the way. We've been using it for over 2 years now and it still works great! They might get a little dirty, but they're easy to clean, so don't worry. They've held up to two racquets with ease for a long time so I'd say it's a solid…

RAIL HEIGHT TOO SHORT FOR USE WITH VERY THICK MATTRESSES

Although I've done a lot of research on different bed rail options, I'm missing a very important detail when you go for the DOUBLE SIDE Shelter option: Height The size of the rail The bed itself is only 18 inches long, compared to the more usual 20 inches for fold-down or single-sided canopies to allow both sides to fit under a double bed. For the increasingly common very thick mattresses (we have 10 inches), that leaves only 6-7 inches of rail protectors, which we don't think is enough for our

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • New competitors

Keeps an elderly patient with mild dementia in bed at night. This is a double slatted base as her bed does not lean against the wall. The rail isn't difficult to install, but you may need to move or remove the mattress, so keep that in mind. The lowering and raising mechanism is fine, but sometimes the rails that allow the rail to slide between the mattresses are a bit difficult to attach. Caregivers will struggle with this a bit, but they've always managed to get it sliding after some effort…

  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Reliability

Beware hidden dangers

The product works well when lifted and prevents the baby from rolling, but when the rail is folded down the rail stays in place keeping it upright when it is not used and folded, which is dangerous. My grandson is 6 years old and the railing was in the down position and he was sitting on the bed and then slipped off the edge of the mattress, caught on a sharp object, scratched and injured himself. If the rails are folded exposing the part that holds them in place, it's not the best design at…
