I got this case and keyboard for my 7th generation iPad, and it fits perfect. My off-brand iPad pencil fits perfectly in the pencil slot - snug enough to not fall out, but loose enough to remove without much effort. The keyboard was easy to charge and charged quickly. The magnetic feature of the keyboard is strong enough to keep the keyboard from sliding around, but not so strong as to make it difficult to move the keyboard when desired. I like that the keyboard is backlit as it makes it easier to see the keys in less than brightly lit environments.
