UPDATE: I've had the T5 for over a year now and I still enjoy it and recommend it. But the addon has one new speaker that you might want to consider: Audio Pro Addon C5 - Compact WiFi Multi-Room Speaker - Grey. The C5 adds Wi-Fi connectivity and comes with an iOS or Android app for Wi-Fi streaming and multi-room settings. Otherwise, the C5 is exactly the same as this T5: same cabinet dimensions, same sized tweeter and woofer, same performance. The C5 costs $50 more than the T5. So if you don't need multi-room support and are comfortable with Bluetooth streaming, buy the T5 and save $50. stationary home speaker. It has great sound, looks really great and has a USB power port on the back. This isn't a portable Bluetooth speaker - it doesn't have a battery, so you'll have to leave it plugged into the wall. And it's too big to carry in a backpack or duffel bag. If you want something portable, there are plenty of other options. If you're looking for quality audio for your home, the T5 is a great option. I am comparing the T5 to the Bose Soundlink Mini and Soundlink 3 which I own and love. T5 is bigger than both and sounds bigger. Sounds like a real speaker, not a tiny portable compromise. I think most people would agree that it sounds better than the two Bose devices I mentioned. You hear the space between instruments and voices, just like in a good hi-fi system. There's more bass too, but it's not muddy or boomy, well balanced with clear mids and crisp highs. But one thing: it needs time to break in. After 10 or 20 hours of use it will sound better than right out of the box. The speaker's front legs are slightly higher than the rear legs, allowing the speaker to tilt up slightly - an elegant design for placing below ear level on a side table or shelf. As with any all-in-one, stereo separation is largely lost once you're more than a few feet from the speaker. However, this is true of any standalone Bluetooth speaker. If you want to share stereo sound, you need two speakers that can be placed several feet apart. There are several Bluetooth speakers with this feature. This manufacturer releases one of them called Addon T14 (currently not available from Revain). You can pair two of them: Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM Super Portable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker, Phantom Black Back with T5. Great speaker in my opinion. It has premium aesthetics, a beautiful body, and a premium leather carry handle. It's not gaudy or flashy, it's a little understated (but not boring at all) and will blend in with the decor of your living room or any other space. It comes in about 5 different colors. I have a gray one, quite nice. The T5 has a standard 3.5mm AUX input should you want to connect a non-Bluetooth device with a cable, e.g. B. an old iPod. The T5 has a USB power port on the back, which is a handy feature on many Bluetooth speakers these days. While not truly portable, the T5 takes up little space and is easy to carry from one room to another. It is in my living room, on the table that it shares with a lamp there is enough space for cocktails or books. There's a version of this speaker that's a little smaller, more portable, and has a built-in battery: the T3. Audio Pro Addon T3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker (White) The T3 model is more expensive because of the battery. I recommend reading reviews of the T5 and T3 on professional audio website WhatHiFi. If you're looking for a speaker that's primarily stationary, the T5 should be on your list. It sounds spacious, clean and great, and has an understated but great high-end look. Highly recommended in this price range.
