
Whenever I see the word "fitted" in a clothing description, I order a size up. I like a fitted look, but I can't stand clothes being too tight or clingy or having to stretch to button across my chest. I wanted to wear this as a layering piece, most likely worn open as a light jacket. I normally wear a large, so I ordered an XL. (5'6" 160 pounds.) It's actually a little too big. Looks okay when worn open, but when I button it, there's extra material at the hip and it's really roomy in the front. It's not as fitted in the waist as I thought it would be. A large would probably have fit my waist and hips better, but I have a feeling it would have been a tight fit over my chest. The material is soft and it's comfy. So I will use it over another shirt as a jacket.
