Review on Powerful Escolite UV Flashlight Black Light: Trace Dog Urine, Pet Stains, and Bed Bugs with 51 LED 395 nM Ultraviolet Blacklight Detector by Olusola Edwards

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Look for 365-385nm light, it's a bit out of range.

I bought this lamp to detect cat urine and/or spills. Remember that it illuminates everything that has ever been spilled or splashed around your home. This makes it a bit difficult to distinguish what you want to distinguish. Under this light, cat urine glows a slightly hazy greenish color. However, it must not glow strongly. Other biological spots also glow green. By the way, detergent glows blue. I aimed my flashlight at the carport where I know Tom sprayed the area to give me an idea of what I was looking for. (It helped me understand around the house that my problem child was my girl more than my boy.) Then I walked around with a lamp in one hand and a Nature's Wonder airbrush in the other. Didn't find much, but sometimes I could smell a cat in the area, but the lights didn't illuminate anything that looked like urine or splatter. (It will also illuminate any clump of lint or flakes!) I've since read some stuff online and realized that size is a good thing to consider when buying one of these lights. Look for one with 365-385nm. They seem to cost a bit more. This light is a bit out of range so there's plenty of room for improvement, although it does work a little. I can't explain why some reviewers are luckier than others. Maybe the quality of the battery? Look for another light within range.
