Wired card readers never worked for me for some reason. Only those that connect directly without a cable. But every time I took out the non-wireless reader, it seemed like it might break off in the PC socket. I need a wired one for work where I can leave it plugged in all the time. The cable allows the reader to be positioned so that I can remove the SD card; the wireless reader is too small for that. Viola! This card reader works!
