I got medium and large vests because I wasn't sure if I could be one or the other depending on the clothes. I have advice If you have a tall figure in a nice collared shirt, I recommend the oversized vest. If you don't have a very short torso, choose the medium one, it fits very well. I have a long torso so the average size was too small (short) for me, but it fit me fine, just too short. Foucome refunded Medium easily with no questions asked, so I appreciate the customer satisfaction! I hope this helps you understand what size you should aim for. The material is amazing, doesn't feel cheap. Once you know it fits well I highly recommend washing it first before you wear it, it had all that lint on it that ended up on my collared white shirt. I am happy with my purchase, I am planning to wear this to a wedding!
