ATTENTION! Dangerous battery.

Bought this lamp almost exactly 1 year ago so my daughter can use it to read in bed. Up until this week we were very happy with the light. The charging cable is absolute crap and was on the verge of falling apart for months, but still did the job when it needed charging, so it's not a deal breaker for me. It's a deal breaker that my daughter brought me her light this morning and was upset that someone broke it. Upon closer inspection, the internal battery expanded so much that it ruptured the plastic casing. I'm not a scientist, but it seems dangerous to me. Especially considering it's less than a foot from my daughter's head when in use. It should be noted that this light was not handled in a crazy way. Except when it needed charging, it was always strapped to my daughter's bed behind her pillow. Do not expose to direct sunlight, heat or cold. Our household has purchased several of these lamps over the years and this has never happened. While I'm sure no one expects them to last a lifetime, I think it's reasonable to expect them; A. more than 1 year use and B. the battery does not explode. Just wanted to warn you all.

Pros
  • SOFT DIFFERENT LIGHT. Effortlessly illuminates 2 full pages of any size book. The light does not have to be constantly readjusted. This night reading lamp features a RELIABLE SOFT CLAMP AND AN INFINITELY FLEXIBLE NECK, allowing you to position and focus the light exactly where you want it.
Cons
  • Lots of things
