I raise dogs for my local animal shelter and one of my adopted puppies has recovered from a skin condition that has left his entire back bald and his skin itchy when the fur has grown back . At first I found it very difficult to keep him from scratching or trying to rub his itchy, bald bottom on wall corners and other objects. While I sympathized with the little guy, combing it only made things worse and further disrupted hair growth. Someone suggested overalls for puppies. At first I thought they were joking but after my pup wore them for a few days I noticed they work REALLY well. Not only were they SUPER adorable, but they kept his bald spots from itching and his fur finally starting to grow back. Also, it helped keep his butt warm during those stronger cold fronts until his fur had a chance to grow naturally. Definitely a great buy all round!
