I want to love this printer, but it's been a week since I connected it to the wireless network. Everything is fine when I connect it to my computer, but I don't want it to connect directly to my computer. I'm sure millions of people have installed this with no problem and I must be just incompetent. If it were true I've set up countless devices to connect to my wireless network. A bit finicky at times, but this is something else entirely. The utility that helps you just directs you to the screens, and if the screen doesn't let you choose the option offered, you're just out of luck. I went through the manuals and did everything as directed, but the printer just isn't recognized. The whole business of the harbor association is unreal. I don't think I've ever written a negative review but I've set up so many devices, networks, printers etc and consider myself pretty smart when it comes to getting it right the first time and if not, to find a solution. I am literally at a loss and at the same time I have no access to the wonders everyone is describing. I have already submitted the box I sent in, what do I need it for? Now I need to figure out how to bring this back to Canon. I concluded, and I should have suspected brewing issues when prompted to insert the printer's installation CD, that the technology in this device was not up to the task of today's wireless environment. If I want to give up and connect it to my network, I can use it, but that was never my intention. I wonder if Revane will take it back if I ship it in a grocery bag. By the way, I'm not a troll who complains about everything. If by some miracle I get this online before I can find a bag big enough for it I will come back and revise my review.
