It should be noted that the base is quite large. This is to make it stable, but you can't place your display against a wall as the back legs will hit first. So the post is 10 inches from the wall. I wanted to put it at my table. My desk starts about 11 inches from the wall. The monitor mounts approximately 12 inches from the wall. Enough of my wishes. One thing that is not desirable. It's height adjustable, but you'll need to remove two nuts and bolts to raise and lower the stand. Forget it. It's also difficult to change once the monitor is installed, so it should be removed as well. If you're looking for something that can constantly be raised and lowered, this is NOT the stand for you. It is very durable and well made. It's heavily powder coated and I have no doubt it will last forever. will get the job done, but much more slowly. It also comes with LOTS of extra screws and adapter plates in case you have a custom or larger VESA template. I didn't have to use most of them, but I installed a 24" Dell monitor on a platter. No additional adapters are required.
