Best than a tablet.

My son willingly puts his tablet away to play with this game. He often quits when things get complicated but with this he pushes himself. He will be 5 in a couple of weeks and as a primary teacher I can see my students in the kinder and first enjoying this and also to learn about pushing and pulling. Great family tind during this social distancing times. ❤

Pros
  • Family Game Night: Play on your own to become a Screwball master or take on family and friends to see who's the fastest
Cons
  • Instructions may be confusing for kids to understand without adult assistance

I ROCK AT THIS on my review.

I saw this toy on Best Buy and could almost feel the wormhole of time sucking me back to my childhood. That came out sounding bad, but you get what I mean.My grandma had this toy at her house. This was the one we pulled out and played when the grown-ups sipped their smelly drinks and smoked their stinky cigarettes. I remember that cold metal ball driving me nuts, and the tickticktickticktick of that dang timer scratching my ear drums and making my hands twitch. When I opened this box it was like

Pros
  • A classic game I remember playing as a child, now my kids can experience it too.
Cons
  • The maze layout can become predictable and repetitive after multiple plays

Great fun for kids who don't get easily frustrated

So much fun! My son LOVES games with mazes and puzzles. This one has several "puzzles" that you have to get through that range in difficulty (all are at least moderately difficult). My little guy could do the puzzles over and over again and be completely happy even when failing them. Each time he plays he gets a little better, increasing his hand-eye coordination and timing his interactions with the puzzles/steel ball. This game is a great challenge for little ones who like to push…

Pros
  • Could be a little heavier. The grands love the challenge of this.
Cons
  • Not a good game

Purchased two, one had a faulty timer

Loved this game when I was a child (30yrs ago). Bought one for my kids and one for a friend. One of them (unfortunately, the one I gifted) came with a faulty timer that wouldn't work (loose gears) unless it was laying down. I swapped my timer for theirs, but I was disappointed that it didn't work properly out of the box. Otherwise the game is still as great as I remember it!

Pros
  • TOMY Intl.
Cons
  • The game can be easily outgrown as kids get older and prefer more complex games

Poor construction/engineering leads to frustrating experience

Would not recommend for children. It's more frustrating than satisfying because of the construction of the gameboard. You have to punch/twist/maneuver the knobs and buttons juuuust right to get it to the next step. Even as an adult, after trying for a good half hour I was making no clear progress, and I'm fairly good with my fine motor skills 😂. It would take literally hours and hours of practice to even get to the end (and I think unless you spent your life doing it, you could never beat the…

Pros
  • Indonesia
Cons
  • The plastic pieces may break easily with rough play

Fun throwback best in my review

I loved this game as a kid. I bought it and my children and I have had fun playing it. But things are a little off. The knob that turns isn't smooth, the ball doesn't always flow into the maze (I've had to tilt the game a bit), and the first hit button gets stuck in the down position.

Pros
  • Fun and engaging for kids and adults alike
Cons
  • The plastic material may become scratched or damaged over time

Such a fun game - my new review

Screwball Scramble was super fun! We had a blast playing together and figuring out how to get through all the obstacles. Challenging game that's tons of fun!

Pros
  • Encourages hand-eye coordination
Cons
  • The maze may not appeal to all kids' interests or preferences

Reminds me of Mouse Trap

My 2.5yo LOVES to play this game. We suffer through it almost everyday. lol. It's a good game for a child to learn with. It helps with patience and learning control/dexterity. With that being said, I feel like this product is very sturdy. It's all made of plastic that's on the thinner side than one would expect. So far we haven't had any issues, we will give it time and see how it does over time. My only issue thus far is that the timer is REALLY fast. As she gets older that won't be a problem…

Pros
  • Games & Accessories
Cons
  • Collecting and returning the game pieces to their proper spots can be time-consuming

Fun Game! Not just for Toddlers / Little Kids

Although my 6 year old is at the higher end of the age range for this toy / game, he really wanted it for Christmas and the gift did not disappoint. He loves all of the moving parts, and it is still challenging enough to hold his interest.I thought it was going to be a simple game for toddlers without much challenge; but it actually requires some timing and fineness to get the marble through the obstacles - making it fun for older kids as well. I enjoy playing it with my kids, too.

Pros
  • Keeps kids active and engaged
Cons
  • The game may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to flashing lights or sounds

Triplet approved: my feedback

My BGG 3 yr old triplets all enjoyed this game (just as much as my husband). We've had maze games in the past that were just too easy after a few hours of play, but due to this more advanced system, I believe my crew will keep coming back for more. At this point, we're using it more as a brain teaser than a game with the timer. Looking forward to more hours of fun with this!

Pros
  • 5 years and up
Cons
  • Some may find the game too simplistic and boring after a few rounds

I remembered this game from the childhood and wanted to get it for my 10 y/o daughter. She absolutely loved it. We've been playing it with the whole family ever since. I recommend getting it. It's definitely worth every penny. It's not just a game, it also makes kids learn to think logically, develops their hand motor skills and simply fun game for the whole family.

Pros
  • Improves hand dexterity
Cons
  • The plastic material may not hold up well to frequent use and wear

The Christmas gift winner

I bought this for an almost 5 yo boy for Christmas. It was his favorite gift. 3 mos later, he still plays with it regularly. We don’t use the timer much at all, he just plays to complete the maze. I would say this game is frustrating, not well designed, and tricky. But the 5 yo managed to master it where all the adults were struggling. So, you be the judge.

Pros
  • Stimulates creativity
Cons
  • The game may require too much space for smaller living areas or homes

Nice addition to our other marble maze

First off, we’ve had the other version of the marble maze for years - I even had one growing up as a kid in the 80’s!This new version adds more fun to the original, albeit with a couple negatives. The original would contain the marble when it would fall off the obstacles. This new version sends it flying off the sides and therefore makes it easier to lose or otherwise keep track of them. Also, on part of the spiral track, the marble would not stay on no matter how slow or how hard we tried. I…

Pros
  • Teaches teamwork and cooperation
Cons
  • The timer may cause anxiety or stress for some children

Glad I got it on my review.

I bought it for the kids (7, 5, and 4 year olds) and they love it but I love it more! Haha don’t judge but my husband and I have turned it into a drinking game bc it is more challenging than the video makes it seem! Haha so you drink every time the ball falls hahaha! My only complaint it there is no place to store the marble on the game and if you have kids you know the cardboard boxes will not stay sturdy enough to contain little marbles! I will probably get the other version next Christmas bc

Pros
  • Great value for the price
Cons
  • May not be the best choice for families with a mix of younger and older children

It's better than mousetrap, simply because it requires little or no assembly. The concept of teaching kids how movement works and the variety of different movements is well thought out. However, someone in manufacturing or engineering has messed up and really "dropped the ball." So many of the mini-games are too hard to use or fail to work. This frustrates our kids. Our 6 year-old likes to play with it, but winds up advancing the marble due to defects in the construction that make some of the…

Pros
  • Helps improve problem-solving skills
Cons
  • Not a good game for young children who may be prone to putting small puzzle pieces in their mouth

24 year olds love it

I bought this for my 3 and 6 year old grandkids because they frequently want to put together our old Mouse Trap game which is a pain. I figured this would be easier since it's all set up. Well the grandkids play with it sometimes, but I brought it to our family reunion this year and it was the 24 year old boys who loved it and were playing constantly over the two day reunion. They had a competition and my nephew ended up with the best time of 29 seconds to get through the course. It was worth…

Pros
  • Encourages spatial awareness
Cons
  • May not be as fun or interesting after the initial novelty wears off

Its not as easy at it looks

Screwball Scramble is a fun, challenging game that kept my kids, and my wife and I, challenged for the afternoon. It’s really a marble run where you control the marble through an obstacle course. While I would love to beat the clock, I’ll settle for completing the challenge . This was an easy to assemble game and one that our family has already played over and over again.

Pros
  • Promotes bonding among family members
Cons
  • Setup and teardown can be time-consuming

Great toy! on my review.

Grandson loves this toy/game. Great to play alone or with others. And best of all.not electronic! I recommend this highly.

Pros
  • Convenient size for travel
Cons
  • Some players may find the cooperative aspect of the game frustrating or limiting

Had this as a child

We had and LOVED Run Yourself Ragged as a kid so I was so excited when I saw this. Unfortunately like most things, this is not nearly the quality of the old 80's version. Still fun but things like the arms that rotate take two hands because the knob won't rotate it (you have turn the knob and push it with your other hand) and the flipper at the end comes lose of it's base every time you try to flip it. Guess I'll try to glue it. The overall concept of the game is the same and fun but the…

Pros
  • Develops planning and strategizing abilities
Cons
  • May not be challenging enough for older or more advanced players

Such a FUN classic!

I remember having this game in the 80s as a kid! I was so excited when I came across it on my Best Buy feed that I just had to buy it! It's great to play as a single player and also fun to compete with friends (or your own kid). Love it, it's just like the original but updated!

Pros
  • Teaches patience and concentration
Cons
  • Some may find the gameplay too repetitive and dull after a few rounds
