Review on Timed Marble Maze Game For Kids: TOMY Screwball Scramble 2 – Cooperative Family Board Game For Game Night – Recommended For Ages 5+ by John Ford

I ROCK AT THIS on my review.

I saw this toy on Best Buy and could almost feel the wormhole of time sucking me back to my childhood. That came out sounding bad, but you get what I mean.My grandma had this toy at her house. This was the one we pulled out and played when the grown-ups sipped their smelly drinks and smoked their stinky cigarettes. I remember that cold metal ball driving me nuts, and the tickticktickticktick of that dang timer scratching my ear drums and making my hands twitch. When I opened this box it was like being back at grandma's house. And I still totally ROCKED at this game. Finally, something my 6 year old doesn't beat me at all the time. He was so impressed my skills he just sat and watched a few rounds.HA! Useless skills sometimes equal cool-dad points, putting this silly game in the same category as juggling. Why is that resounding DING! of the bell at the end so satisfying? I have no idea, but it is.

Pros
  • A classic game I remember playing as a child, now my kids can experience it too.
Cons
  • The maze layout can become predictable and repetitive after multiple plays
