I really wanted to like this mug. Look, feel and size were perfect. However, we have already had three such failures and all of them could lead to quite dangerous situations. My coffee had cooled to room temperature yesterday, so I decided to turn it into an iced coffee by putting ice in a cup and pouring cold coffee over it - no temperature risk here. I started drinking coffee and heard a clink at the bottom of the glass. At first I thought it was ice and took a few more sips before realizing it wasn't ice, but the inner glass was broken and it was at the bottom of my cup. It could have been disastrous if I continued drinking without realizing or paying attention. This was my second cup that ended in broken glass. Ironically, my mom called me and told me a very similar story about a mug I just bought her as a gift. I consider them dangerous and urge manufacturers and distributors to reconsider the design.
