I bought this in the middle of the day for my Christmas cruise. Great hat and I've gotten lots of compliments. Not only was it a collapsible fold hat, rubber was used to secure the hat in place, which I used as a chin strap on windy days. I didn't race or take off my hat on windy days; When it was blown away, it would fall onto my back, where I would leave it until the wind died down. When we weren't in the sun and I didn't need to wear the hat indoors, I would let the hat hang on my back by the chin strap and it hung comfortably without suffocating me. Sometimes I forgot I was wearing it until I sat down and felt the hat. I've been to the Caribbean basking in the shade in the sun; it does the job.
