simple and cheap but you get what you pay for

I have rented whitewater kayaks with this which I am sure will test the 50lb weight limit, although not by much. Pulleys and construction are cheap but I raise and lower the system almost 5 times a year so it will probably do. The main issue is that the rope that comes with it is nothing more than a cord, so I keep wondering when this thing will break in my garage. Like I said, you get what you pay for and it's cheap. Probably better for kids bikes or really light stuff like a paddle board or something.
