Review on Hunter Swanson Indoor Ceiling Control Lighting & Ceiling Fans by Dawn Rodrigues

I have 8 Hunter brand ceiling fans in my house. They were all great, quiet, easy to install, well built and durable. We even removed them and moved them from our last home. This new Swanson fan doesn't live up to Hunter's reputation The fan I received was good but had major flaws, namely the fan hummed loudly at any speed and it also smelled like hot oil for a week (our room smelled like one Factory ). large, but doesn't produce much air at all. In fact, the 42-inch fan it replaced was moving a lot more air than we could believe. So I'm returning this fan as unreliable and hoping Hunter isn't years ago turned into another company with a reputation it no longer deserves. I replaced this fan with a similarly priced Orange Box Harbor Breeze fan and it is quiet, has no smell and moves much more air than a Hunter fan. The orange box fan also had many helpers for quick and easy installation that the Hunter doesn't include. Features like quick-change blades allow blade holders to be installed without a blade attached and simply snap the blades into place. What a time saver. The Orange Box fan had many of those easy to install features that made the Hunter fan look poorly designed and dated. Oh I almost forgot, the Hunter fan guide is TERRIBLE. You basically have a diagram of each part with a number next to it. No text, no helpful tips, no security help. My next fan will be another Harbor Breeze.
