I use it for most of my cleaning needs. They are strong and not very thick like most sponges. One of the reasons sponges become unsanitary and smelly is their thickness - it prevents the product from being thoroughly cleaned and dried. This one is soft enough to be practical but dries completely and easily. My favorite way to wash is to throw them in mesh laundry bags before throwing them in the washing machine. I wash them weekly in hot water cycles when I wash towels and they are still like new with minor signs of wear. I expect this set will last a very long time. Tip: Washing with more delicate fabrics won't scratch the sponge, but can cause lint on more delicate fabrics due to the rough surface of the sponge, so I recommend washing them in a ziplock net. bags! I also air dry them (the loops make this task easier) - I don't recommend tumble drying them.
