The rope arrived in less than 3 days in nice packaging with basic instructions on how to tie the hook. This is a solid climbing rope and after testing it on my kids I can confirm that the 1.5 inch diameter is suitable for both kids and adults. It's much better for climbing than the standard flimsy nylon ropes you get for playgrounds/swings (see image for comparison of the much thinner nylon rope hanging on the left and this climbing rope hanging on the right). I bought a 30ft rope with a loop that made it pretty easy to attach to a branch once you figured out how to do it. My ladder didn't reach the branch, but there are videos on YouTube on how to use a separate rope (yes, it took me a few throws to get there). Because of the quality, I immediately ordered a second rope for another tree after installing Parkour in our yard. The kids love it.
