Review on EasyMountLCD Articulating Heavy Duty Standing 002 0033 by Danielle Perkins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Monitor loosely fits computer accessories and peripherals

Previously used a VIVO dual monitor mount but needed a quad monitor stand. The VIVO stand had a slight flex when I mounted my heavier 27" (10 lbs) monitor, but it was acceptable at only 1-2° of forward tilt. This stand has an unacceptable 5-7° tilt when using my heavier monitor - even after tightening the adjustment screw as much as possible (using the included wrench and my solid wrench). Any tilt adjustment after tightening the adjustment screw loosens the Adjustment screw, This is how even lighter monitors start to tilt forward by 1-2° after not too much use. Additionally, the familiar VESA mounting plate is used to mount the monitor to the stand, which has some play that aggravates forward tilt issues and requires shims to counteract sagging. Weekend, I am not happy with the product and will try to return it. After some research I decided to order the Monoprice Quad Monitor Stand - it uses a two bolt tilt adjustment mechanism seen on most heavier wall mounts TVs I've used before that are more reliable/rugged. In addition, the mounting plate attaches directly to the monitor, so there is no misalignment at the joint of the guide plate and any forward tilt can be corrected by tightening the screws while the mounting plate is pressed directly against the monitor. On the plus side it's very stable and I didn't have any tipping or other issues after installing all 4 monitors - heavier monitors tend to tip over during installation. Installation is easy, with no fasteners required other than a protective swivel nut once the monitor is placed on the stand. It's a pretty good option for 27-inch LED monitors, but for heavier IPS LCD panels, I recommend looking elsewhere.
