No leaks from the attachment points. I was able to direct the water where I wanted. The spray pours out like a fierce one downpour. Shampoo and soap are easy to rinse out. However, this is not a powerful jet (like a massage), that was enough for me. I didn't want to turn off the shower when I first used it. Maybe because it's new. There is no knob or switch to temporarily stop spraying and no adjustment knob to change spraying. I see no need to increase the pressure by removing parts that restrict water flow.
