It's about the thickness of neoprene koozies. So it won't last all day long or anything, but probably long enough for an hour or two. The bottom is a reach-and-go sleeve, very easy to pull a beer can out.I know. I know.did I really need this can cooler sleeve? Yes. And it's exactly what I expected. Why I love this cooler:1) Our family rides our bikes to the neighborhood pool in the summer. And it's a pain to load everything up as-is (towels, pool bag, cooler). Sometimes I know we're only going for an hour.just enough time for a few beers without packing a cooler. Now I can just sling it on my shoulder and go.2) I've been biking a lot this summer. And it just happens that 2 breweries are within a bike-ride distance. Now I can easily make a stop on my way home and pick up a 4-pack or 6-pack.3) I cannot wait to use this for trick or treating.
