Be careful! 4K is only supported at 30Hz.
After being fooled by the huge 4k logo on the HDMI connector, I spent hours setting my 4k monitor to 60Hz. After several hours of trying I came back to this site to read the fine print and it turns out that 4k is only supported at 30Hz which looks a lot worse than it looks. Your keyboard and mouse will lag and the mouse pointer movement will be jerky. 4k videos look really bad even at 30Hz. Plus, it's just not good for the job, especially if you need to move the mouse quickly or type a lot.
