These are a lot more breathable than pads and surprisingly thin, so won't show through your pants. Very comfortable, they just feel like normal underwear when on. Feels like high quality materials and construction.I was a little disappointed that they do start to smell after a few hours, just like pads. Unless you have a very light flow or are using these as a backup for a tampon/cup, you would probably want to change the undies every few hours, as often as a pad, or else you will be able to smell the blood through your clothes. Because of the inconvenience of this I would not use these as a sole period product. Instead, I am using them in combo with my cup and I love them (really love them) for that. I just wear one pair all day and don't need to change them unless my cup leaks.Definitely size up one size.
