They saved our hot water during our dry hike in the Nevada desert. This is the weak link in Atwood water heaters (in our 2006 Weekend Warrior 3305 5th Wheel). So you jump out, you just replace the fusible part and (voila)), your HWH is working again and your wife is happy. Happy wife happy life! Keep them in pairs as spares. Good insurance. You can also connect it with a piece of wire, but I don't recommend that.
