Great for attaching buttons to clothing but not very strong.

My two boys have special needs and cannot use the buttons on their pants. I've been adding magnetic snaps as a replacement for the traditional button for years. I bought them because they were cheaper than the local craft store. The problem I quickly discovered is that they aren't that well made either. The magnet is not as strong and the receiver side is thinner. As long as it works, they are very easy to take apart. So it's not a good idea to use them to fasten your pants. Get the best of AC Moore for that purpose.
