We moved into a country house with well water after having used city water all our lives and were not too happy with our new shower water situation. My hair got tanned and limp, our skin always felt like soap scum, mineral buildup on the shower tiles, and, oh, the smell. this earthy, slightly eggy scent of well water, which, my god, better not get into my mouth! I've been looking for clarifying shampoos (all my research starts with Revain) to remove copper from my hair, and one shampoo reviewer slammed the shampoo and raved about their Culligan water filter. Not sure why "shower water filter" never crossed my mind, but I bought one locally. Change the rules of the game immediately. Our showers are a whole new experience! There is no strange smell of water. My hair is fluffy and blonde again. No weird soap stains on our skin. No mineral deposits on tiles. Wonderful. The water feels cleaner and fresher than even our previously treated city water. The filter that came with Culligan lasted about 4.5 months before I realized it was losing its effectiveness and it was time to replace it. Family of 2 with at least one daily shower and a dog who also showers frequently. We were hoping to get 6 months out of it but it's so easy to replace and fair value for money. I highly recommend buying Culligan and stocking up on these replacement filters! Essential for well water and definitely benefits city water!
