The reason for the purchase was to use the tablet in portrait mode, but in this case that is not the case. The tablet just falls to an upright position. The case is very rigid and doesn't want to stay closed. Without a strap to keep it closed, the case wants to be flat, with the opened tablet facing up (or down, depending on the case). The material is slippery and I dropped my tablet. The suitcase opened and the tablet fell to the ground. The case offers no protection. In my opinion, the "protective" plastic shell is too loose on the tablet. By simply lifting the tablet by the corner, you can pull it out of the case. I do not recommend this case and have actually sent mine back.
