I wanted to try another monitor, although I really like my current monitor. I have never tried an Acer monitor but a friend likes it and I decided to try this Acer model. I like responsible packaging. I like the small bevel to make the monitor look bigger than it actually is (I currently have a 27" but this 24" looks better most of the time). It didn't have an HDMI cable (most don't, so it wasn't a surprise) but the supplied VGA cable allowed me to use a VGA to USB adapter so I could use the USB port on my laptop and voilà! , I was able to set up 2 monitors with my laptop (technically a 3 screen monitor). I love this monitor. My current screen has a matte finish, which I like because it doesn't glare like a piano finish. This Acer monitor is very similar. The monitor was easy to set up. I like the easy to find switch. I love that I can raise or lower the viewing plane and switch between landscape and portrait (a plus compared to my current monitor, which is fixed). It was a bit difficult to handle at first, but over time we figured it out. Image quality is stable with a good refresh rate. Overall I really like this monitor. It adds much needed real estate as I work from home. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to try this brand and this monitor. I will definitely keep this brand and product in mind for future purchases.
