We bought this for our grade 2 autistic son who is 2 years 3 months old. We recently moved him from a crib to a toddler bed and he absolutely loves this blanket. It really helped him go from restless rolling and kicking to falling asleep. Most nights he falls asleep within 5 minutes of lying down. For us, the difference between a normal and a weighted blanket is very clear in the effect. Heavy enough for some of the chilly spring nights we've had, but not to stay warm on warm summer nights yet to wake up sweaty this summer. I recommend!
