I don't like construction belts. The flip-top lid means it's fully customizable and easy to open. Yes, sometimes an object will catch on the flip cover and unlock it, but not often. The belt material starts to wear out after a few years, but by then the belt is so dirty that it can be thrown away. Note that a 1 1/2 inch belt may be large for some belt loops, so you may need a 1 1/4 inch belt instead. But for ordinary work trousers, they are best suited.
