Review on πŸ›€ Doli Yearning Baby Bath Thermometer: Safety, Fun & Room Temperature Monitoring by Yousef Dudley

Great performance, inaccurate temperature

I really like some of the features of this bath thermometer compared to other brands of duck thermometers I've tried before. My favorite feature is the auto on and auto off (just wet it or shake it off and let it dry and it all works without having to press any buttons). I also like the fact that it usually stays upright, as well as the large, easy-to-read display. (The duck tried to show too much different information). However, the temperatures are inaccurate. I'm used to feeling the temperature I'm aiming for and just using thermometers to confirm (just to be safe) in case my nerves aren't working properly that day (as I sometimes have health issues). So I immediately noticed that the water seemed a lot hotter than I was used to, for the same advertised temperature. I brought a kitchen thermometer to check, and it confirmed my suspicions: this frog told me the water was 6 degrees colder than it actually was. I'm pregnant and trying to enjoy hot baths without endangering my baby, so those six degrees are important! I still enjoy using this thermometer, I just have to pay attention to the smaller number when filling the tub. However, this is cumbersome, because the required number is too small to be able to set the (adjustable) red flashing light to warn of "cold" temperatures. so I skip the automatic warning.
