I bought these to use as driving shoes in autocross competitions and the High Performance Driver Education (HPDE). My first event isn't until the beginning of May, but I can already say that the soles of these shoes will be much more sensitive than the shoes I've used before. And at $40, these shoes cost half to a quarter the cost of "real" driving boots (albeit without FR properties, of course). For those who want to know, I wear 11.5 street shoes, regular width, and I bought a size 12. There is some room in the toes, which is normal, and the width at the widest part of my foot is okay. As expected, there is no arch support - I won't be walking around in it much.
