I had to return them through no fault of the bulbs themselves. It just wouldn't work in my application. One of the halogen lights in my hood has burned out. So I decided to replace all 4 with LEDs. First of all, these bulbs are MUCH brighter than the old ones and while I love being able to see while cooking, it was too much for me. Second, they don't turn off. When switched off, the light is dimmed. If I plug a halogen into one of the sockets they go out, but not when I have all four. This means that there is always a low voltage in the circuit and the halogen offers enough resistance to turn the light off. It is clear that the fixture is not designed for LEDs, so I have to replace the burned one with another halogen. Again, the light bulbs are not to blame.
