Difficult to connect Charger for Surface 3 Laptop

(for 15" Surface 3 Laptop with Windows): Although the cover snaps easily and correctly, it is very difficult (almost impossible) to connect the charger and *stay* plugged in. The bar on the charger is stopped by a cover and cannot be aligned parallel to the laptop so it can never be left plugged in. Otherwise good quality and it may work well for other laptops and devices.For Surface 3 this is but in my opinion a waste of money.
