I bought this dash camera to replace my old one. I kept my old one for about an year but it failed to stay in tact during those time. It wobbled from side to side and was dangling starting not even a month after the installation. In searching for a replacement, I needed to find one with more stability and durability. This item provides the solid stable attachment to the car and durability against heat as it hides most of its body close to the car front windshield avoiding direct exposure to the sun. Lastly, I choose this one over other similar looking ones since it has 170" wide angle and an option to parking motion detection.
