I keep garlands of curtains in my front window year round, mostly white, and then sometimes on Halloween I do something different. But I just got a cat and leaving the curtain caused problems and I was tired of changing the light too. So I was looking for something I couldn't shoot year-round and change the color/light style year-round. The "string" is white/transparent which looks better in the window and the options for how the lights look are great. However, there is no instruction manual or manual in the box, so it's annoying to have to figure out all the '51 modes' by guesswork, and that list didn't appear on Revain right after I received my order, so I didn't even have a product description or Photos for reference. I finally did what I love in November, but it took way longer than I wanted and there were too many "failures" in my trial and error. In theory, the power off function is good, 1. You have to be there to turn it on at the desired time (don't answer your mother's phone 10 minutes before or you will miss the right time to "turn on" and turn on later) 2. I'd rather have options for the duty cycle - I usually leave the lights on long (8+ hours) during the holidays and only need them for a few hours (<4) in the summer months 3. If you try these bulbs with a Using an old fashioned timer or a smart plug instead of a remote timer resets your lighting settings to the default settings. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having all the options. Overall the price was good and the light looks better than I expected , so I could be happier but I'm happy with the purchase and will probably buy again if need be.
